The theme of this years\u2019 scientific meeting is \u2018From Lab 2 Law: Bridging the Gap from Science to Policy. Toxicology plays a crucial role in shaping policies that protect human, animal and environmental health, yet translating scientific findings into regulatory decisions remains a challenge. As scientific advancements continue to refine our understanding of toxicity, the question remains: How do we ensure that research findings effectively inform policy and legislation? What are emerging topics of concern that need local and global attention?<\/span><\/p>\n

This meeting will explore the dynamic relationships between toxicology and regulation. Through keynote lectures, interactive workshops, and poster sessions, we will highlight how scientific evidence contributes to risk assessment, regulatory frameworks and decision-making. Experts from academia, industry, and government will share insights on navigating the complexities of policy development ensuring that toxicological research leads to meaningful impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are happy to invite you to the meeting at Congresscentrum de Reehorst, Ede on <\/span>June 4th<\/b> and <\/span>5th<\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Abstract Submission <\/b><\/p>\n

If you are a PhD candidate, Bachelor\/Master student or (young) professional you can submit an abstract for the annual NVT meeting. In addition to the regular PhD platform and speed presentations, we will have a dedicated session for (young) professionals to present their project. Therefore, professionals from all fields and disciplines of toxicology are encouraged to submit an abstract for this session. The best abstracts will be selected to participate in these sessions. Everyone with a submitted abstract will get the opportunity to showcase their research through a poster presentation. A jury will award the best oral and poster presentation a small prize during the award ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abstract submission for oral presentations is extended to 14th of April and registration will close on the 30th of April.<\/b><\/p>\n

Green Toxicology<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For a sustainable future<\/em><\/h3>\nThe field of toxicology is always changing. As with many items in society, also our science will become greener to be sustainable. During the annual scientific meeting, you will be guided through the multifaceted meaning of green toxicology. Green Toxicology is a very exciting theme since it covers the areas of safer products (Safe(r)-by-Design) & manufacturing with the aim of less environmental and human health impacts. It is also about improved safety for workers, consumers, and patients as well as the reduction of animal testing and alternative testing methodologies.\nWe will discuss these items at the meeting including recent media items. This year we will also organize an open session for which NVT members are encouraged to submit an abstract to present a topic related to the theme (instructions will follow).\nWe hope to welcome you to the meeting at Dutch Brand Hotel Gooiland, Hilversum. The \u2018young scientists\u2019-day is scheduled for May 30th, followed by the \u2018NVT-member\u2019 day, including the annual NVT business meeting and joined dinner on May 31st. Keep an eye on this website as more information will come.\n\n\n\n\n
